Marin Food Specialties began as a pioneer in the natural food industry, producing trail mixes for health food and grocery stores. More than fifty years later, we manufacture and package snacks for other people's brands.

Our story

From San Rafael to Byron.

  1. 1974

    Founded in San Rafael

    Established in San Rafael, California, producing trail mixes for health food and grocery stores as the natural food industry took shape.

  2. 1982

    Moved to Byron

    Relocated to Byron, California, to expand manufacturing operations.

  3. Today

    Four capabilities

    Baking, cold-formed snacks, blending and packaging, offered as contract manufacturing, private label and co-packing.

We are committed to quality in the products we make, by sourcing the best ingredients possible and following manufacturing practices in line with the food safety standards of our industry.

We are certified and periodically audited for compliance by the Gluten Free Certification Organization (GFCO), the Non-GMO Project and QCS. Our facilities handle and produce USDA Organic, gluten-free and Non-GMO Project certified products.
